Jennifer is our Director of the Board overseeing our South Dakota operations. She is a goal-oriented leader and seasoned communicator with a wealth of experience in communications, public relations, technology, real estate and healthcare – and a mom! Her son Nolan is our Kid President of the Simon Says Give Chapter in Sioux Falls, SD. Together with Nolan and the Simon Says Give team she will facilitate leading and directing our growth into new areas of the country! As a strategic thinker, Jennifer is able to grasp abstract ideas and concepts, achieving positive results. Her entrepreneurial ideations allowed her to be the first to develop a program for online help software in the Cardiology IT division for GE. As a media insider, she is well networked in media strategy and has developed creative messaging and story ideas resulting in client coverage in top tier media – Forbes, Fortune, WSJ, MSNBC, Fox, New York Times, Chief Executive, Mashable, TechCrunch, and GigaOM – among many others.
Sheila is an image and impression management expert driven to empower corporate professionals across the globe in growing their strategic visibility. Her exceptional talent benefits executives and notables at any level in polishing all facets of their brand – appearance, attire, behavior, body language, and more – to power brand-aligned personal presence and communication style. From professional modeling that includes runway, print, and TV commercial work to a career in brand management, Sheila draws from over two decades of experience when speaking and producing in the world of impression management. She also has nonprofit board experience. She served six years on the International Board of Cosmopolitan International and two years on their Foundation Board, a service club that raises money for diabetes education and research. In 2013-14 she was elected as the International President, being only the third woman to hold that office.
Keira is a veteran of the Public Relations/Media Relations industry both in the Hispanic and U.S. general markets. For almost two decades, she has worked to garner media coverage and exposure for a wide variety of clients in the B2B and B2C space – among them, Bigote de Leche, the Hispanic version of the ‘got milk?’ campaign, NatGeo Mundo, Colgate, Centers for Disease Control, King’s Hawaiian and Liberty Tax Service. She has established relationships with many reporters and producers in the broadcast industry such as Fox Business Network, TheStreet.com, and multiple local affiliates nationwide. Keira got her start in the media industry as an intern at CBS News Productions helping researching topics for shows like Biography: This Week and 20th Century with Mike Wallace.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, she has a BA and an MS in Communications from the College of New Rochelle. She is currently a Senior Media Strategist at TallGrass Public Relations.
Wendy Alexander has over 15 years of human resources experience and is currently the Talent & Culture Specialist at TAK Communications in Sioux Falls, SD where she works with recruitment, social media, assessments, engagement, culture and retention. Prior to that she was the Human Resources Generalist at Home Federal Bank in Sioux Falls, SD where she was responsible for much of the recruitment and employee recognition events along with heading internal various committees.
She also serves on the Board for the National Kidney Foundation – Dakotas and serves as a member of the ‘Hood Magazine Panel. She is a past member of the Client Advisory Board for Profiles International, Inc.
She also has a consulting business around her passion of assessments called Star Finder by Wendy Alexander where she administers DISC assessments as well as facilitates presentations on DISC assessments and LinkedIn tips.
When Taylor Templeton was adopted at the age of 7 years old as an orphan from Bangkok, Thailand, he got to celebrate his first birthday at the age of 8. Taylor never had a birthday party for the first 7 years of his life. So once Taylor learned about the Simon Says Give organization this past year, he knew this is one way he can make a difference in the Sioux Falls Community by joining the board and sharing his story. Volunteering and giving back to the community is one of Taylor’s passion in life, and is excited to be part of the Simon Says Give Organization in Sioux Falls.
Taylor has 10 years of retail management experience for Target, Kohl’s, and currently the Store Manager at American Eagle Outfitters in Sioux Falls. Taylor has managed high volume stores with Target and Kohl’s in the Chicago market, Omaha, and SD where he mainly focused on customer service, sales, operations, and human resources.
Andrew is the HRIS Specialist at TAK Communications in Sioux Falls, SD. Prior to that he was the Scholarship Coordinator for the South Dakota State University Foundation in Brookings, SD where he took past experience from working in the banking field to make sure funds were available when it was time to load scholarship funds for campus to award to students. He has a passion for supporting and helping teams and organizations so when a colleague approached him about Simon Says Give and what the organization does, he knew it would be a great fit. After working at the SDSU Foundation where there were daily examples of giving back, he knows how much of an impact giving back means to recipients. Andrew currently resides in Sioux Falls with his twin brother, Matt, and holds two Associate’s degrees: one in Human Resources and one in Management. In his spare time he enjoys going to theatrical performances of touring Broadway shows at the Washington Pavilion or community theatre productions at the historic Orpheum Theatre in downtown Sioux Falls.
Stacy Millard joined our Simon Says Give team in 2016 as a volunteer, and accepted a seat on our Adult Board of Directors in October 2017. She has a passion for working with children, giving back to the community, and impacting the lives of our youth. Her drive, dedication, and loyalty are complimented by her organizational skills, time management, and ability to multi-task. As a financial advisor for Thrivent Financial, she dedicated to working with Christian families and helping them reach their financial goals for retirement, family financial protection and savings. She strives to help her members be wise with money, live generously, and change lives. Stacy also brings knowledge of the Thrivent Choice and Thrivent Action Team programs which have greatly benefited Simon Says Give. Stacy is a graduate of Dakota State University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Finance and Business Marketing. In her spare time, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors. Stacy resides in Madison, South Dakota.
